Project Manager:   Responsible for project management for major projects. Must have both IT and non-IT project management experience, able to work very well with business stakeholders, with excellent communication skills with a focus on stakeholder management.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget.
  • Develop project scopes and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility.
  • Create a project charters with the team including the definition of completion criteria.
  • Manage and communicate a clear vision of the project’s objectives, and motivate the project team to achieve them; create a project environment that enables peak performance by team members.
  • Report on projects at meetings and with external consultants and departmental and senior management to assure that priorities are communicated and understood, and that progress/delays/issues are reported.
  • Manage relationships with project stakeholders, including internal and external clients and vendors, keeping them stakeholders informed of progress and issues in order to manage expectations on all project requirements and deliverables.

 

Skills and Experience:

  • 5+ years’ experience in using formal project management methodology, techniques, and tools.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP®) certification and/or other industry and project management certifications preferred .
  • Extensive knowledge of project management tools and methodologies; extensive experience with using relevant project management and business management computer software.
  • Thorough knowledge of and competency in project management processes, including planning tasks and allocating resources, risk management, issues management, time management, financial management, HR management, working in teams, quality management, monitoring and reporting, documentation and record keeping.
  • Technical knowledge to understand the technologies and technical issues involved with the project and industry, as applicable.
  • Ability to analyze and review project finance commitments and related budgetary information to determine impact on project costs.
  • Ability to advise on complex matters to non-specialists; ability to communicate effectively with senior management.

 

Duration:  6 months with likely long term extension
